As the Director Digital Product, Wealth, you will lead the cross-platform Digital Wealth roadmap and partner closely with peers in Wealth Technology, Wealth Transformation, and Digital Engineering to drive client experience outcomes for iTRADE, Full Service clients, and Advisors. With your team of Product Leads and Senior Product Managers, and working closely with Product Design in the same vertical, you will be responsible for planning, delivery, and ongoing monitoring for all new digital capabilities, ensuring that a cross-platform strategy is being defined for prioritization and delivery that ensures a best in class user experience for all Scotiabank clients.  The role will report to the Head of Digital Product Management and Product Design.  This role ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Leads a cross-platform enterprise roadmap for Wealth and Advisory at Scotia Digital, leveraging a data driven approach to prioritization and execution
  • Partners closely with Product Design to ensure effective design research, design standards across platform are met, and drive initiatives including web/mobile builds and third party platform integration
  • Partner with Wealth Digital Transformation, Wealth Technology, and Scotia Digital Engineering Director population to ensure an effective operating model across planning and delivery
  • Champions an Agile product methodology for Scotia Digital scrum teams to prioritize effectively, ensure quality and accessibility standards, and manage inter-dependencies across platforms
  • Work to seamlessly connect Scotia Digital expert teams (e.g. UX Resarch) into Wealth and Advisory work that is in planning/progress to support effective process/delivery design and user experience outcomes.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong Technical and UX understanding/background
  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Digital Product Management using agile practices
  • Education in Computer Science or related Technical Field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills an asset
  • Strong technical competency an asset
  • Strong understanding of UX Design an asset
  • Financial services/Wealth experience an asset
