Job Purpose:

The Director Development will lead the technology development of AML functions to ensure adherence to regulatory commitments and delivery on business expectations.  

 

Accountabilities:

  • Spearheads design and delivery for AML technology solutions
  • Responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of technology delivery projects across transaction monitoring, client risk rating, enterprise case management and FINTRAC reporting
  • Coordinates with key AML stakeholders and business team to gather necessary requirements and to build a network of relationships
  • Identifies and escalates issues / risks in technology delivery and develops mitigation plans to course correct projects
  • Responsible for coordinating / delivery all BAU, remediation and transformation initiatives within their value stream portfolio (transaction monitoring, client risk rating, enterprise case management and FINTRAC reporting)
  • Manage a high-performance development team through rapid, high-quality development cycles
  • Lead the agile and waterfall implementation of technology projects as per the requirements and specifications
  • Oversee and report on project status, manage project team resources and assignments, and ensure project milestones are met and up to standard
  • Responsible for high-level development and code reviews

 

Professional Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in technology delivery programs for large scale, global projects
  • Experience working within large-scale AML programs at Banks
  • Experience working with key AML applications (E.g. Oracle FCCM, Fiserv FCRM, NICE Actimize, BAE Systems) would be considered an asset 
  • Proven ability to lead and manage large teams across functions and geographies
