The Director, DevOps – Global Wholesale and Risk Technology (GWRT) is responsible for developing and leading our DevOps strategy and vision, working closely with business and technology partners to deliver platforms that enable rapid, stable deployment of critical business application while also encouraging department wide reuse.

You will work closely with our technology architecture, infrastructure and application teams to define the strategy for DevOps platforms and Cloud, define minimum standards for development (automated testing, code reviews, deployment, etc.) and drive adoption across the organization. You will champion and track GWRT’s ability to automate all aspects of the code development lifecycle.


  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to build DevOps platforms that align with our technology roadmap and enable business objectives.
  • Craft a long-term vision GWRT’s DevOps capabilities and development standards leveraging industry best-practices
  • Assist in the design and scoping of upcoming initiatives, including participation in architecture forums.
  • Develop strong frameworks for managing non-functional requirements, including availability, resiliency, security etc.
  • Lead DevOps Engineering teams for shared platforms and development tools that support global business critical applications.
  • Measure and track KPIs, focusing on adoption of DevOps tools and development practices, and operational performance metrics.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with technology partners and vendors.

Education and Experience


  • Strong working knowledge of how scalable, enterprise-level systems are deployed including network, security, infrastructure systems
  • Prior detailed experience with Kubernetes and major Public Cloud offerings (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • Extensive technical working experience with various software development processes and methodologies; with a focus on Agile and Scrum, as well as a deep understanding of continuous delivery
  • Must have technical working knowledge of all aspects of the DevOps lifecycle; industry practices; as well as a detailed understanding of systems architecture
  • Competent in strategic planning and visioning to identify new and emerging technologies that can be used to drive Continuous Delivery and Integration
  • 7+ years of industry experience supporting large scale and complex transformational projects
  • Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects
  • Experience evangelizing and driving adoption of DevOps practices across a diverse team
  • Passion for driving teams towards high performance and a deep pride in quality engineering
  • Team leadership and people management experience.
