The role:
The Director and Head reports into the VP, Delivery & Portfolio Management supporting the Enterprise Delivery Office (EDO) within technology. This is a multi-discipline experience requirement role that is primarily accountable for delivering the program portfolio within a CIO pillar, while other initiatives may be added as required to meet business objectives, ensuring alignment with Scotiabank’s business strategy.
This role is a key advisor to leaders, providing strategic guidance, transformative and innovative thought leadership and robust governance, and operational and technical excellence to enable successful delivery of initiatives within a CIO – Infrastructure Technology pillar. This role champions a high-performance mindset and culture, fosters cross-functional collaboration and partnership, and is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of all program activities that aligns with and support Scotiabank’s strategy. This Infrastructure Program Leader is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive Infrastructure program that runs the organization's backbone technologies and supports business objectives. This role leads cross-functional teams, oversees infrastructure operations, and ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations.

What do you need to succeed?
- Strong Project Management background with management experience, in both Agile and waterfall programs.
- Demonstrated success delivering large technology projects and programs.
- Proven track record for overseeing the strategic direction, implementation and overall success of large-scale complex programs in a portfolio.
- Strong understanding of multiple Infrastructure technologies (e.g., zOS, Hosting, Database, Middleware), running on different Mainframe, distributed and hybrid cloud platforms.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing infrastructure operation teams
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, drive strategic change, and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience working across cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with Enterprise Delivery Frameworks
- PMP or equivalent certification
- Experience and expertise with agile environment/methodologies.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a leadership or program management roles.
- Relevant certifications in multiple infrastructure technologies and platforms preferred.
- 12+ years leading large-scale business/technology programs.
- 10+ years establishing and championing program governance, PMO practices, or agile delivery frameworks.
- 7+ years managing and developing high-performing teams.
