The Enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (eGRC) program is a strategic initiative focused on transforming how Scotiabank manages risk. As a holistic solution, it modernizes governance, risk, and compliance by integrating frameworks, processes, and regulatory requirements into a single, consistent platform. The eGRC enhances transparency, automates key activities, and supports data-driven decision making across all business functions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory standards. The program ultimately aims to enhance organizational resilience and informed decision-making.
The eGRC Change Management team is fundamental to the success of the program, driving change strategy and ensuring the smooth implementation of updated taxonomies, standards, and processes. The team identifies needs and supports readiness through targeted communication and training initiatives
The Director of eGRC Change Management leads the development and implementation of the change management strategy for the eGRC program. Leads the eGRC Change Management team in Global Risk Management in Canada/globally, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Reporting to the Vice President, this position ensures the eGRC Program enables the adoption of new processes and technology across the Bank.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Lead and drive a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Lead the change management strategy for the eGRC program by utilizing the roadmap, frameworks, and industry standard tools that drive effective adoption of the eGRC program and platform.
- Direct communications and engagement through concise, targeted plans that build understanding and alignment throughout the transformation.
- Oversee training and capability building by guiding the design of training, job aids, and enablement materials; leverage learning systems where needed for delivery and tracking.
- Facilitate alignment and decision-making forums by leading structured working sessions, feedback cycles, and cross functional discussions.
- Monitor adoption, readiness, and change related risks by setting clear metrics, assessing organizational preparedness, addressing resistance, and adjusting strategies to ensure sustainable transformation outcomes.
- Collaborate with partners on data change management by jointly defining foundational data elements and supporting the standardization of data change processes across the eGRC ecosystem.
- Support ad hoc program needs by delivering high-quality analyses, materials, and change related deliverables in response to evolving priorities and stakeholder requirements.
- Provide strategic oversight and collaborate closely with all eGRC teams to ensure the program’s quality, effectiveness, and continuous improvement, with smooth processes, reliable data, strong user experiences, and the guardrails needed for a resilient, fully operational eGRC program.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Create an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have experience with:
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA or master’s degree preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience in a consulting firm, finance or banking industry.
- Risk management experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Spanish to support engagement with global and regional stakeholders is an asset.
- Experience delivering change management for large scale, complex programs involving multiple stakeholder groups and cross functional teams.
- Strong organizational, facilitation and presentation skills including ability to create and deliver presentations with great clarity to diverse audiences
- Innovative thinker, capable of moving forward through complex situations; self-reliant, proactive approach to work
- Strong project and program management skills with the ability to operate in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong relationship management and collaboration skills, able to work effectively across business lines, technology teams, and control functions.
- Superior communication skills, including executive level written and verbal communication.
- Experience with enterprise change management in large transformation initiatives.
- Experience in eGRC program delivery, platform oversight, stakeholder engagement, and transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments, data governance, and technical platforms supporting GRC functions.
- Familiarity with delivery and governance platforms, such as Jira, Clarity, OpenPages, and ServiceNow.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Adobe Captivate and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro.
