The Director, Transformation and Value Enablement (Canadian Banking Engineering (CBE)) is responsible for defining and embedding the enterprise value enablement model across Canadian Banking Engineering. This role focuses on improving how teams organize, prioritize, and deliver measurable business outcomes through lean, adaptive, and outcome-oriented practices. Partnering with senior technology and business leaders, the Director ensures that domains, squads, and leadership teams are equipped to maximize flow of value, eliminate systemic constraints, and continuously improve delivery effectiveness and impact.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Lead the design and rollout of the Value Enablement operating model, enabling outcome-based delivery across all CBE domains.
• Partner with Domain, Product, and Engineering Leads to establish clear accountability structures and flow-based planning mechanisms that improve visibility and throughput.
• Develop and maintain frameworks that support prioritization, OKR alignment, and investment tracking against strategic outcomes.
• Build and lead a team of Coaches and Enablement Specialists focused on accelerating the adoption of value-driven practices.
• Drive measurable improvements in delivery predictability, quality, and employee engagement through systems-level feedback and experimentation.
• Lead leadership-level capability building (e.g., adaptive leadership, flow-based governance, decision-making through data).
• Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms that quantify business value, flow efficiency, and reinvestment capacity.
• Partner with enterprise transformation functions to align enablement activities with modernization and cost transformation objectives.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, psychological safety, and shared ownership across technology and business teams.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
• University degree in Business, Technology, or Organizational Development
• 10+ years’ experience leading large-scale operating model and delivery transformations
• Deep knowledge of lean, flow, and value stream management principles
• Proven success implementing frameworks for outcome-based delivery and continuous improvement
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and executive influencing capabilities
• Certifications in systems coaching, lean, or organizational design are considered assets
