Purpose Responsible for leading the strategy and implementation of key initiatives and sustainment programs that drive the engagement and growth of our Scotia Wealth Management (SWM) Total Wealth offering among clients, businesses, and internal partners across Scotiabank. This includes providing training, coaching and resources to key in-field roles across our SWM Client Solutions team and Wealth Management lines of business. The incumbent also provides leadership across various efforts in support of promoting and embedding Client Solutions within the Scotia Wealth Management client experience, such as implementing new business development projects, developing corporate insights, driving communications, providing training and marketing support, and managing regular business planning activities. Contributes to the overall success of the Practice Excellence team within Scotia Wealth Management, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The Practice Excellence team provides training, practice management and analytics solutions that are aligned to SWM’s strategic priorities and is focused on enabling our in-field advisory teams and leaders to effectively run and grow Total Wealth businesses at every stage of the employee life cycle. Education/Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of Wealth Management experience
- University degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration
- Previous experience working with Wealth Management advisor/relationship manager teams
- Experience leading a team of approximately up to five (5) employees
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course would be an asset
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to synthesize and interpret data and information from various sources.
- A proven track record of delivering end-to-end programs and processes, working with multiple business lines and stakeholders
- Strong presentation skills, including oral and written communication skills with the ability to deliver training and coaching material across multi-stakeholder initiatives to senior leadership and to in-field teams
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset
