As the Director, Software Delivery on the Canadian Digital Banking team, you will lead the agile delivery of software products according to roadmaps developed jointly with the Canadian Banking Business team.  More specifically, you’ll be accountable for the management and oversight of Canadian Digital Banking software delivery and implementation of projects, ensuring high quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery. If you are an established leader with experience in setting direction and leading teams in a complex, cross-functional matrix environment then we’d like to hear from you.

Is this role right for you?

  • You will manage a team of Delivery Leads who are responsible for the end-to-end software delivery process for their respective Scrum/Kanban teams
  • You will drive and evolve the agile delivery framework used by the Scrum/Kanban teams in Canadian Digital Banking, and ensure alignment with the organization’s Enterprise Delivery Framework
  • You will support the Scrum/Kanban teams in proactively identifying and mitigating key project risks, and removing impediments and blockers to software delivery
  • You will provide timely and relevant communication to key stakeholders and interested parties on status and progress across a portfolio of projects and programs
  • You will establish consistent best practices and relevant metrics to ensure success and visibility into delivery progress
  • You will act as a change agent, and be able to make decisions, influence, and lead discussions with business and technology stakeholders at a team and management level.
  • You will directly manage 10-12 Delivery Leads, including performance management and professional development, and indirectly manage multiple Scrum/Kanban teams.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?

  • You have 7 or more years of experience in a leadership role managing large complex enterprise-level projects and programs with significant technology and operational components
  • You have a deep understanding of project management practices and disciplines, tools and methodologies
  • You’re an agilest who applies agile methodology to delivering projects and managing programs
  • You have a highly developed ability to influence others and to effectively manage leaders with competing priorities
  • You have exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and client relationship management skills
  • You’re skilled at managing multiple competing and complex initiatives with excellent organizational skills
  • You can rapidly assess risks and issues using your analytical and problem-solving skills
