As part of Global Finance’s strategic alignment with the enterprise all-bank strategy, the Director, Program Management provides enterprise-level leadership for the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) transformation agenda, including governance, strategy, and delivery oversight for the multi-year Anaplan implementation and related process, data, and operating-model modernization. The Director is accountable for defining and executing the transformation roadmap, advising senior finance and business executives on trade-offs and investment decisions, and ensuring measurable outcomes (business value, adoption, and risk-managed delivery). The role leads cross-functional alignment across Finance, Technology, Data, Risk, and business stakeholders, and ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Owns end-to-end delivery and outcomes for the FP&A transformation portfolio, defining the multi-year roadmap, integrated plan, and delivery operating cadence; ensures scope, schedule, and dependencies are actively managed to achieve approved business outcomes.
  • Provides strategic advisory to senior leaders across the program’s delivery pillars (process, data, technology, and change), recommending target-state capabilities, sequencing, and trade-offs to maximize enterprise value and adoption.
  • Accountable for investment governance for the transformation program (capital and operating spend), including business case discipline, forecasting, executive reporting, and benefits-realization tracking against approved outcomes.
  • Establishes and continuously improves the program governance model (executive steering, working groups, and delivery rituals), including KPI/OKR reporting, decision logs, and issue/risk escalation to drive timely, well-informed executive decisions.
  • Serves as a senior strategic relationship leader, bridging and influencing across Finance, Business Lines, Technology, Data, and external partners.
  • Integrates the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture into program decisions, ensuring key transformation risks (model, data, technology, vendor, and change) are identified, mitigated, and transparently escalated through appropriate governance.
  • Builds and sustains a high-performance, inclusive environment by providing leadership, coaching, and development to program resources and leaders; establishes clear accountability, drives execution standards, and supports talent and succession planning.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?  We’d love to work with you if you have:   

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze results and identify issues and trends
  • Excellent knowledge with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient mathematical skills and a sound understanding of quantitative methods and statistical packages
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional ability to manage competing priorities and work under extremely tight deadlines to deliver a high quality output.
  • Proven ability to establish trusted-advisor relationships with senior executives and influence decisions across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to translate complexity into clear recommendations, decisions required, and outcomes.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Banking and / or Finance functions, with demonstrated leadership of complex, cross-functional transformation programs.
  • Deep expertise in program governance, executive reporting, and vendor/partner management; strong understanding of finance transformation and planning technologies (including Anaplan) is an asset.
