About the Role
As Director, HR Business Partner for Global Compliance & AML, Audit, and Legal, you will play a critical role in shaping the people strategy and partnering with senior business leaders to design and drive talent strategies that align with regulatory requirements, business priorities, and long-term workforce needs. You will help build high-performing, resilient teams in areas that safeguard the Bank's integrity and reputation, influencing decisions with global impact. In this role, you will also work with business line leadership teams to address people related needs by leveraging strategies, guidelines & insights developed by Communities of Expertise (COEs), and HR Services.
What Will You Do?
Strategic People Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in Global Compliance, AML Audit, and Legal on workforce strategy, talent development, succession planning, and organizational design.
- Translate business priorities and regulatory requirements into actionable, innovative people solutions.
- Represent HR in high-level strategic discussions, influencing business decisions with data-driven insights.
Talent & Organization Excellence
- Design and execute strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent in specialized, high-stakes functions.
- Coach leaders to strengthen performance, engagement, and inclusion, to build capabilities for the future.
Risk, Compliance & Culture
- Embed HR practices that uphold the Bank's risk culture, ethical standards, and regulatory obligations.
- Partner with leaders to ensure teams operate effectively within these frameworks while achieving business goals.
- Influence culture and behaviour by fostering accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Change & Innovation
- Lead HR initiatives supporting business transformation, digital adoption, and workforce modernization.
- Champion a future-ready HR function that is flexible, scalable, and globally integrated.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years in HR leadership roles, ideally with complex/regulated environments.
- Strategic Influence: Proven ability to influence senior leaders while navigating complexity, ambiguity and high stakes decision-making.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong capability to leverage workforce data and people insights to drive decisions, shape strategies and influence outcomes.
- People Expertise: Deep knowledge of talent management, organizational design, succession planning, employee engagement, and workforce analytics.
- AI & Innovation Mindset: Demonstrated curiosity and capability with emerging AI tools and HR technologies to drive innovation & build a future ready workforce.
- Communication & Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to build trust, inspire, and support cross-cultural teams.
- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and understanding to enable appropriate partnership with client groups.
- CHRP, CHRL or other HR designation is considered an asset.
