Purpose:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director to lead derivative coverage for public sector clients, including global SSA (Supranational, Sovereign, and Agency) issuers and Canadian public sector entities. This role is central to delivering customized risk management solutions, fostering strategic dialogue, and strengthening relationships with key issuers across the public sector landscape.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in derivative products, public sector funding strategies, and global capital markets, along with a strong track record of client engagement and successful transaction execution.

What You'll Do:
•    Serve as the primary contact point on the derivatives side for a range of government debt issuers, including global SSA and Canadian public sector entities, supporting both capital markets activities and broader institutional relationships.
•    Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders across global offices to deliver derivative-based solutions as part of new issue recommendations and internal asset-liability management (ALM) strategies.
•    Partner with sales and trading teams—within compliance boundaries—to provide market updates, insights, and research as needed.
•    Cultivate and expand client relationships, while identifying cross-selling opportunities across other product areas and business lines.
•    Foster a high-performance culture by implementing a people strategy that attracts, retains, and develops top talent. Promote an inclusive work environment, apply a coaching mindset, and lead succession and development planning for the team.

What You'll Bring:
•    Bachelor’s degree required; CFA or MBA is considered an asset.
•    Minimum of 10 years of experience in derivatives, public sector coverage, or related capital markets roles.
•    In-depth knowledge of derivative instruments and their application in public sector funding.
•    Strong understanding of SSA and Canadian public sector issuer profiles, funding programs, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
•    Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with familiarity in risk systems and pricing tools.
•    Proven ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and navigate complex organizational structures.
