BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Drives the development and delivery of high-impact global investment communication strategy across multiple Global Wealth Management (GWM) wealth distribution channels and geographies supported by the Global Investment Solutions (GIS) team. 

 

Owns the end-to-end investment communication ecosystem, spanning fee-based and managed programs, Global Knowledge Centers suite of collateral, strategic investment insights, and thought leadership platforms – while driving alignment across markets. Defines how investment content is created, governed, and delivered at scale, contributes to authoring high-impact materials on core investment concepts and the value of wealth advice.

In the role you will: 

  • Lead and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Create an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Global Investment Communications Strategy

  • Lead the Global Investment Communications team to deliver high-quality, consistent and impactful advisor and client investment communications support across all GWM wealth distribution channels & geographies.
  • Provide strategic oversight for LatAm investment communications ensuring global consistency and enabling local relevance and regulatory fit. Elevates quality, structure, and impact of investment communications across the region.
  • Design and execute a unified end-to-end GWM investment communication strategy and the global interaction model (supporting transition to a global team across GIS) enabling seamless collaboration between global teams and internal partners to deliver elevated advisor and client experience.
  • Engage with partners across the organization and regional team to ensure content supports advisor workflows and business priorities.

Content Development and Thought Leadership

  • Create/author and oversee sophisticated investment content, including education materials on key investment concepts, advisor-facing content on value of wealth advice, managed solutions, and model-driven portfolios, and client-friendly narratives/insights.
  • Strengthen the value proposition of fee-based and managed asset programs by defining best-in-class advisory/client support model.
  • Set editorial and publishing standards for all content produced by GIS and ensures content is actionable and aligned to client engagement process.

Platform Enablement

  • Optimize communication channels and platforms to deliver tailored content and updates, driving engagement with internal teams, advisors, and clients. Ensure platform enables scale and speed to market.
  • Streamline communication workflows (eliminating duplication) to simplify and speed-up the production and distribution of all communications.
  • Drive global adoption and best practices alongside analytics/feedback loop for ongoing monitoring and improvement of communication collateral.

Operational Excellence

  • Create and implement Global Policies & Procedures, incorporating best practices, regulatory and compliance frameworks to facilitate the delivery of global and regionally tailored insights.
  • Establish governance, cadence and prioritization models for global investment communications.
  • Build scalable processes for translation, localization, approvals, and distribution.

 

DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS
We would love to work with you if you have:

  • Spanish fluency (asset)
  • CFA (asset)
  • 5-10 years of experience in global wealth management (Latin American experience considered an asset)
  • Ability to author investment-related content / insights / white papers
