Leads and oversees the Intraday Liquidity Management team ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed/delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Ensures the availability of intraday liquidity for interbank payment systems and external Nostro accounts. This includes analyzing and reviewing results of reporting processes and recommending actions to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory minimums.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Is accountable for payment & settlement balance management within the High Value Payment System Lynx and Federal Reserve environments.
- Responsible for setting up and monitoring Intraday Liquidity and Operating Liquidity Limits
- Sets the intraday liquidity strategies, cash management direction and provides recommendations to Senior Management for policies, and related procedures for the Bank.
- Manages the operating settlement liquidity for operations by ensuring there is sufficient immediate available liquidity to cover obligations.
- Responsible for cash forecasting for CAD & USD, including management of Continuous Linked Settlement (CLS) for CAD/USD
- Reviews and sets intraday liquidity stress testing framework with Liquidity Stress Testing Team and manages the production of the data and analysis into Intraday Liquidity Stress Tests
- Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Undergraduate degree or graduate degree in business, finance or economics preferred.
- Liquidity knowledge and experience is a must
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Basel and OSFI principles
- Expert knowledge of the markets and products traded, risks assumed and systems used.
- Expert communication/facilitation and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate and work effectively with management at all levels in the front, middle and back office environments.
- Balances competing or conflicting goals of various departments/stakeholders, requiring a mature, diplomatic approach and highly developed negotiation and influencing skills
- Actively listen, negotiate and communicate goals, share knowledge, experience and responsibility when dealing with direct reports, employees and business relationships in order to create a drive to be the best.
- Takes ownership of issues, makes decisions within authority and offers recommendations when outside authority. Exercises sound judgement consistently.
