 Purpose

 

The IB Client - Branch Technology Engineering Director is responsible for leading the development, deployment, and support of Branch technology systems across branch or regional locations, special emphasis in e-Teller. This role ensures that each branch has the tools, infrastructure, and systems required to operate efficiently, securely, and in alignment with corporate IT strategies. The ideal candidate blends technical expertise with business acumen and is skilled at managing multi-site environments and field operations.

  • Define and execute the branch technology road map in alignment with enterprise IT strategy.
  • Evaluate and implement branch level technologies that improve customer experience staff productivity and operational efficiency.
  • collaborate with business units to understand operational needs and translate them into scalable branch E teller technology solutions.
  • Lead the definition and strategic planning of system architecture ensuring resource allocation and scheduling from a development perspective.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed project plans monitor progress against objectives review financials and secure alignment and cooperation from users and senior management.
  • Direct the implementation strategy and manage production support for all initiatives within the portfolio.
  • Build and manage cohesive software architecture and data governance standards artifacts Rd. maps and providing technical direction for the applications assigned to your portfolio.
  • Lead and manage a distributed team of regional IT managers engineers and support staff.
  • Create an environment in which his or her team pursues effective and efficient operations of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk regulatory compliance risk AML slash ATF risk and conduct risk including but not limited to responsibilities under the operational risk management framework regulatory compliance risk management framework AML slash ATF global handbook and guidelines for business conduct.
  • Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts retains develops and motivates the team by fostering an inclusive work environment communicating vision values business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • Champion a client focused engineering culture that emphasizes value delivery simplicity and resilience.
  • Act as a primary escalation point for technical risks dependencies and branch technology domain related challenges
  • ensure adherence to banks risk appetite regulatory compliance and operational controls throughout all branch technology domain government program Levin investments against approved funding envelopes ensuring transparency in spend and benefits realization.

  • Ensure adherence to the Bank’s risk appetite, regulatory compliance, and operational controls throughout all Branch Technology Domain.
  • Govern program-level investments against approved funding envelopes, ensuring transparency in spend and benefits realization. Work closely with technical teams and SMEs to ensure technology initiatives are delivered on time, within budget forecasts, and deliver value identified at inception.
  • Work closely with non-technology teams including business lines to ensure technology initiatives are meeting business needs and are integrated within the bank effectively
  • Occasional travel may be required.rming engineering squads, ensuring teams are properly staffed, skilled, and motivated to deliver outcomes aligned to the Branch Technology domain.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?

 

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • 8+ years in Management, software development and IT industry work experience, with clear progression through ranks, and 5+ years leading and building high performance teams.
  • Strong technical people management skills to drive them to succeed in projects implementation
  • Must be a strong leader with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to build consensus and obtain co-operation from both stakeholder groups and other technology teams
  • Disciplined in up-to-date development methodologies and familiar with software development technologies and concepts.  Practical experience with systems design and specifications for large scale applications.
