We also cross-sell the full range of wholesale products and services offered by the Scotiabank Group.
Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Director, Electronic Execution Services Sales to lead and expand our institutional coverage. This senior role is ideal for a sales professional with deep buy-side relationships, proven electronic trading expertise, and the drive to accelerate business growth across our platform.
We support institutional clients with differentiated ideas, cutting-edge technology, and global execution capabilities. Our Global Equities business delivers a comprehensive suite of execution, financing, and advisory solutions across cash, derivatives, prime services, and electronic trading.
You will be a key figure in shaping the trajectory of our electronic trading franchise—representing advanced execution technology, differentiated liquidity solutions, and a globally recognized capital markets platform.

What You'll Do:
- Drive revenue growth by marketing and selling a broad suite of GBM’s electronic execution solutions—including algorithms, DMA, smart order routing, and workflow tools—to sophisticated institutional investors and broker dealers.
- Expand coverage and deepen relationships across Canadian buy-side institutions, multi-asset hedge funds, and quantitative trading firms.
- Leverage your existing network to accelerate client acquisition and increase platform adoption.
- Act as a senior advisor to clients on electronic trading strategy, market structure, algorithm selection, and execution optimization.
- Interpret TCA reports, identify performance improvements, and deliver ongoing execution consulting.
- Assist in developing thought leadership pieces related to industry and market structure
- Collaborate with High-Touch Equities Trading, Prime Services and Research Sales to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Contribute to product evolution and roadmap planning by bringing forward client feedback and market trends.
- Execute responsibilities in alignment with Scotiabank’s Global Sales Principles, compliance standards, and regulatory frameworks across regions.
- Uphold GBM’s values and help cultivate a high performance, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of institutional equity/electronic execution sales experience.
- A strong list of buy-side and hedge fund relationships, with a track record of revenue growth and new client acquisition.
- Deep expertise in global market microstructure, electronic workflows, and multi asset execution tools.
- Proven ability to interpret TCA, advise on execution quality, and engage in advanced market structure discussions.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (IIROC/CSA, SEC, FINRA, etc.) and compliance best practices.
- Canadian Securities licensing (or equivalent in applicable jurisdiction)
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a dynamic, team first, competitive environment with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Work Arrangement:
This position is currently an onsite role, with the expectation that you will work 5 days a week in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
