The Director, Collections Strategic Solutions leads and oversees the ongoing operations, implementation, and continuous enhancements of end-to-end Collections solution platform to support Global Collections strategic initiatives. Ensures business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed/delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Through partnerships with regional/local Leaders, IT, and vendors, establishes and executes long term roadmap/strategies on Collections technology, including Integrated Frontend and Backend Collections Systems, Dialers, Workflow Management Systems, Treatment Engines for existing and new channels. Promotes synergies, standardization, common best practices, and overall cost optimizations. Provides direct business oversight of key Collections technology initiatives throughout all stages of program life cycle including business case, funding setup, execution, and post-implementation support.
Oversees and manages ongoing business relationship with key solution vendors. Provides business input/direction to global and local procurement teams during vendor selection, contracting, renewal, and conflicts resolution. Defines business objectives and benchmarks for vendor performance during programs execution, ongoing maintenance, and production support. Leads and oversees delivery of MIS solution to meet reporting and analytics requirements at enterprise, divisional, and local operational levels. Ensures alignment with overall Global Collections solution roadmap and partner with IT and vendors to deliver comprehensive and timely data with quality.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank/Global relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Provides senior leadership across the four areas of focus: Global Collections Programs and Initiatives inceptions and execution; ongoing sustainment and performance management of Collections Solutions and platforms; Solution vendors oversight and relationship management, and Delivery and ongoing management of MIS solution and analytics
- Manages a complex portfolio of technology-related strategic initiatives with numerous interdependences, often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners across all geographies.
- Oversee the tracking of system performance and determine the business financial impact communicating results to a steering committee level monthly
- Accountable for taking into consideration business needs and challenges during implementations. Ensures that there is a clear linkage between the business vision/context and the implementation scope and objectives. Ensures mechanisms to measure benefits are set up for each Implementation.
- Responsible for assisting with the execution and management of key initiatives: Manages technology implementations as assigned to completion ; Provides ongoing strategic and tactical support to the Collections teams and implementation leaders in the execution of their business strategies and initiatives as it relates to technology; Supports various areas of Collections in their efforts to successfully complete key technology implementations, and Works closely with different Collections teams to understand and determine ways to address / remove technology obstacles
- Consolidate and report Collections technology implementations status/progress to executives. Keep all stakeholders informed of implementation status, monitor critical path, assess potential risks that could significantly impact implementation performance, escalate critical issues up to senior management and executives for quick decisions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations. Communicate implementation sponsor information up to steering committees. Communicate project benefits and successes up to executives.
- Build strong relationships with functional areas and promote communications between Collections, Business, GRM, IT&S and channels. Ensure the execution of collections technology implementations receive sufficient attention and, where necessary, escalate issues to steering committee and sponsor so that needs are met and discrepancies are resolved.
- Ensure that implementation management processes and deliverables are completed as required during the project lifecycle for the projects. This includes, as applicable, change management, process management, transition to business/operations, system development, quality management, etc.)
- Plan, obtain, store, process, and publish implementation information in a timely manner to support achievement of execution milestones.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems
- MBA (or equivalent) is an asset but not a requirement
- PMP training or designation preferred.
- Bilingualism in Spanish is desirable
- Working knowledge of retail credit products, consumer credit lifecycle,
- Knowledge of business analysis/implementation management methodologies and tools
