The Team

  • Customer Systems team supports many business lines and platforms including mobile, branches and online systems.
  • Size of the projects or deliverables can vary from small to multimillion-dollar project
  • CS team evaluates an average of 50 intakes each year related to system modifications and new initiatives or projects.
  • There are 50 implementations on average each year to fulfill new business functions, regulatory changes, fixes, software, and hardware currencies.

 

The role:

  • Developer - The candidate must have good understanding on existing web and cloud applications (including complex application systems), experience supporting frontend development (UX/UI), evaluate problems, identify actions to be taken and recommend solutions. Understand and work in accordance with Bank application architectural guidelines.

  • Work closely with all team members in an agile lab and agile environment. 
  • Must be fluent in English, oral and written, with excellent interpersonal, communication skills to understand, document and share key system information with their colleagues, support groups, other technical staff, business partners and management.

  • Consistently seeks to understand, meet, and deliver on customers’ expectations.
  • Act as a mentor to junior developers on design, development, delivery, operations, and overall development best practices within the bank and industry.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • 1 year of experience Web and Cloud technologies
  • At least 1 years of hands-on experience with development experience in needed language or technology listed below
  • Has experience supporting Soap Services and frontend development (UX/UI)
  • Hands-on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC
  • 1 year of prior experience in level 1 production support
  • Experience working in an agile environment / methodology
  • Fluent in English, oral and written
  • College graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or technical equivalent

 

Technical skills

 

  • Must have Java, Web Services (SOAP, REST), JDBC, JSF, Servlets, JNDI
  • Source code repository - Bitbucket, Git, SourceTree
  • IDE tools - Eclipse, IntelliJ, STS (SpringToolSuite), etc.
  • Web application technologies – ReactJS, NodeJS, *Restful APIs, *Spring, *Spring Boot, *JSON, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS/CSS3, AJAX, AngularJS/Angular2+, HTML5, and Bootstrap.
