The Retail Risk Analytics Engineering (RRAE) team supports various stakeholders - Global Risk Management (GRM) - Risk Models and Analytics Team, Regulatory Capital, IFRS9 provisioning & Enterprise stress Testing team in the implementation of regulatory and non-regulatory initiatives, utilizing both hybrid approach.
The candidate will lead the development activities of the project team alongside being a mentor to the junior developers. The successful candidate will also work closely with the stakeholders, to clarify requirements and to recommend best practices. The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in SQL, CI/CD, SAS, and Python knowledge.

- Serve as a technical lead contributing to and directing the efforts of development team
- Ability to analyze problems from multiple perspectives and provide alternatives.
- Understand the importance of detailed documentation, as our work impacts multiple teams for many years.
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, and architectural diagrams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Demonstrated experience to lead technical design and architecture solution discussions.
- Work closely with the stakeholders, to clarify requirements and to recommend best practices.
- Provide hand-on development, optimizing and simplifying the codes, perform code reviews and ensure quality standards are met.
- Ability to lead a project from scoping requirements through production implementation.
- Assist in task planning, estimation, and scheduling.
- Team player who can thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Providing support for month-end and quarter-end reporting process.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Excellent verbal communication skills and articulation to deliver message effectively with different audiences.
- 5+ years experience with Bitbucket/Git.
- 5+ years experience with SAS, SQL and python.
- 2+ years experience with cloud technology, preferably Google Cloud.
- Proficiency with Pandas Dataframe and Numpy.
- Experience with Serverless Google Cloud Function/Run, Google Cloud Storage, and Vertex
- Experience with Dockerfile
- Experience with scheduling tools like Maestro/Airflow
- Experience with Object Oriented Design
- Experience with Informatica
- Experience with Kubernetes, MinIO(S3) and OpenFaaS/micro-service
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field
