Purpose

 

As a data engineer/developer in Data Management, AML/ATF Models and Analytics team, you will contribute to building a better way to approach banking data for AML/ATF purposes by leveraging your engineering, analytical and communication skills to work with different business partners across the whole bank. This role will also involve the development of a web application and data design in a python framework.

 

Accountabilities

 

•Deep dive into banking data, perform data profiling and analysis to determine better dimensional/hierarchical data for AML/ATF model and analytics. 
•Design highly efficient backend data mart to support frontend application
•Develop python based web application to support AML requirements
•Work with technology partners such as the bank private cloud teams to build up and maintain cloud infrastructure 
•Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships by leveraging broader Bank systems and product knowledge
•Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of the respective fields, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

 

Skills / Experience

 

•Strong knowledge of python and SQL
•Familiarity with development within Linux environment
•Experieced in using python web application frameworks, like Dash, Flask, etc.
•Strong knowledge of data lifecycle for customer, account, and transactional data
•Strong and effective communication skills for managing expectations with diverse groups for stakeholders
•Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML preferred

 

Education 

 

•Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields
•AML knowledge or banking knowledge is an asset
