GBM is a full-service wholesale bank in the Americas, with operations in 21 countries, serving clients across Canada, the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.


Your Work Term At-A-Glance

Client Insights and Analytics is part of the COO (Chief Operating Officer’s) office in Global Banking and Markets.   Our mandate is to lead the execution of our business strategies through powerful reporting and analytics.  We are closely integrated with our business partners to drive adoption, and client strategies/insights and opportunities. 

In this position you will have the opportunity work as a part of our Client Insights and Analytics team:

  • Assist our teams in report engineering, data analytics and data engineering and business relationship management
  • Work with our relationship managers for business lines including Corporate & Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Global Business Payments and International Corporate and Commercial Banking
  • Help leverage internal and external client data to facilitate opportunity identification
  • Support adoption, change management and enhancement of our CRM (client relationship management) system
  • Attend program meetings, and facilitate organization and follow-up as required
  • Ad-hoc projects and tasks as required

This role suits those who are curious, have a strong desire to learn, be a “self-starter” and adapt quickly to new projects and challenges.


You are the perfect fit for this role if you have/ are:

  1. Currently pursuing a Bachelors/Advanced Degree in business, finance, engineering, and/or law or computer science
  2. Interest in and knowledge of the capital markets and wholesale banking business
  3. Experience working on a major project and/or initiative team
  4. Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and matrix based environment
  5. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  6. Advanced experience with Excel
  7. Experience or knowledge of Tableau and Power BI are an asset
  8. Considerable initiative, curiosity, creativity and attention to detail
  9. A high level of energy, commitment and a strong sense of teamwork are needed to succeed in the role
