The Catalyst Operations Development Program is your one-stop shop for launching a supercharged and dynamic career in Operations! The world of Operations is fast-paced and ever-changing.

 

As a Catalyst Associate, you will join as a full-time employee and will complete three rotations within different areas of Global Wealth Management Operations over the 24-month program. Upon successful completion of the program, you will transition into a permanent role where you will leverage your experience and continue to support critical bank operations.

 

Global Wealth Management Operations (GWMO) provides support on day-to-day operational activities and strategic initiatives for Scotiabank’s Canadian wealth management businesses and Canadian and international asset management entities. As a GWMO Catalyst, you will develop your skills in data analytics, project management, and strategy work. 

 

Is this program right for you? In this program you will: 

  • Project management and project tracking.
  • Perform data entry, data analysis, and data reconciliation. 
  • Build dashboards and presentations for management.
  • Review client opening documentation and code accounts.
  • Review and process transactions related to mutual fund trades, dividends, interest, and corporate actions.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders across the Bank including advisor teams, trading desks, other broker/dealers, various operations departments, and management.
  • Support calculation of Net Asset Value per share daily of assigned funds.
  • Apply strategic thinking aimed at continuously improving processes.
  • Serve as a team player and support ad-hoc requests wherever needed.

 

Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this program?  

  • A College diploma or Undergraduate degree completed between April 2024 and May 2025. 
  • You have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • It is an asset if you have experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future. 
  • You enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, competitions, and/or hackathons. 
  • You are available to work in a hybrid work arrangement with in-office days in Toronto for the duration of the program.
