There’s a place for every type of student at Scotiabank and all that we ask for is that you have passion and strong AOO (Attitude, Ownership, and Opportunity).
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Support the product ownership team in analyzing and executing the product roadmap, including assisting with pricing guides and exception-based decision workflows where applicable.
- Collaborate with designers to create wireframes, mock-ups, high-fidelity UI designs, prototypes, and competitive analyses using Figma.
- Contribute to visual design execution, including layout, typography, and color, while ensuring consistency with design systems and brand guidelines.
- Partner with product managers to proactively identify data and research needs that inform product strategy, prioritization, and design decisions.
- Support user research activities such as user interviews, usability testing, and survey analysis, and assist in synthesizing insights into actionable product and design recommendations.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative findings to validate assumptions and guide iterative design improvements.
- Maintain user flows, experience maps, and design documentation, supporting clear design-to-development handoff.
- Work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and designers, to ensure alignment throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, design critiques, and workshops to understand requirements, collaborate on solutions, and incorporate feedback.
- Present design concepts, user insights, and rationale during design and product reviews, clearly articulating trade-offs and impact.
Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if:
- You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
- You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future.

- You are comfortable using modern UX/Design tools including Figma, FigJam, and Adobe Creative Suite, with experience across prototyping, design systems, accessibility, and team‑based design workflows.
- You stay interested in emerging technologies, including AI, and actively explore new tools, trends, and approaches shaping modern design.
- You have a high level of competency with MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- You are able to clearly identify and articulate key insights and recommendations.
- You can work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
What’s in it for you?

- Exclusive student events such as Scotia Student Day, Lunch & Learns, leadership panels, and much more!
- Bank-wide orientation to learn more about Scotiabank and gain exposure to senior leadership across the organization.
