Campus Recruiter – Global Banking & Markets
The Campus Recruitment and Talent Development Team is part of the Global Human Resources group at Scotiabank and is responsible for attracting and developing future Scotiabank leaders. We are a crucial partner to the business, and we assess, select, and develop diverse early talent from around the world. Is this role right for you?
Report to the Manager of Global Banking and Markets - Campus, you will be responsible for identifying top-tier talent for Campus Programs and executing end-to-end high-volume recruitment for Scotiabank’s Global Banking & Markets businesses and support functions across Canada. In this role you will:
- Build and maintain a diverse talent bench of candidates across various geographies through all stages of the recruitment funnel.
- Leveraging technologies, you will be responsible for assessing and tracking candidates, relationship management, and offer management.
- Partner closely with Global Capital Markets hiring managers to translate business needs into recruiting strategies
- Manage relationships with business leaders across Global Capital Markets to align recruitment strategy with the evolving needs of their desks
- Create and deliver presentations on and off-campus, plan and execute events and large-scale conferences
- Organize and assist with interviews, assessments, and screenings, including interview scheduling, systems updates, and reporting initiatives.
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Stay updated on industry and market trends
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions

This role will require a moderate degree of travel (by car, rail, and plane) within Canada to various universities and colleges, as well as the potential to travel internationally on occasion. Due to the timing of on and off-campus events, this role is not a "9 to 5" and will sometimes require work during evenings and weekends at times. Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Business or Human Resources is preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience in full-cycle recruitment
- Understanding of Global Capital Markets (GCM) business lines — including Sales & Trading, Capital Markets products, and the skills associated with the trade-floor is strongly preferred
- Strong relationship management skills and the ability to collaborate with business leaders across the organization
- Strong understanding of organizational structure and complexity
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
- Attention to details and deadlines
- Proven teamwork capabilities
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing work environments
- Advanced skills in presentation software (PowerPoint) and data management tools (excel) are strongly preferred.
