The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the engineering execution and delivery of technological solutions that support the Bank’s infrastructure in branches which directly affect client facing tellers and advisors. This role ensures the timely delivery, quality, resiliency, and operational excellence of infrastructure, processes and Client journeys for the Bank. This role partners closely with business and infrastructure leads to align on requirements and priorities, delivering technical solutions that support strategic business outcomes. Reporting to the Senior Manager Engineering, this role plays a key part in translating vision into executable plans and ensuring those plans are delivered with a high level of quality, stability, and stakeholder alignment.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Partners with the Infrastructure Lead, such as Network operations, Employee experience, and Operations teams, to define and deliver robust technical solutions that support best in class Client experiences for their domain.
• Executes on the strategic roadmap for branch modernization, as defined by the Business Lead and leadership team ensuring seamless transition from strategy to technical implementation, and fostering continuous feedback loops between engineering, infrastructure and the business.
• Leads and manages end-to-end delivery of engineering initiatives which helps in better client and employee experience in branches, ensuring proper planning, execution, QA, deployment, and ongoing support for all releases.
• Participate in long-range strategy planning and manage partnership with procurement & infrastructure to address complex business issues in the branches
• Accountable to ensure that all releases into production meet the bank’s Operational Readiness (OR) standards. This includes: i) Completing OR triage assessments. ii) Coordinating with control functions to meet compliance requirements. iii) Ensuring IT controls and standards are met to prevent incidents, security breaches, and customer impact.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, including Defining project scope, timelines, and milestones, Managing resources and budgets. Tracking progress and ensuring timely delivery of infrastructure components. Also, manage weekly, monthly progress reports.
• Provide key technical support and guidance to RFPs (request for proposals) for vendor solutions.
• Champions a client-focused engineering culture across their team, prioritizing value delivery, branch experience, and the secure, compliant operation of infrastructure solutions.
• Champions root cause resolution of systemic issues regarding branch infrastructure.
• Ensures platform resilience and operational preparedness, guaranteeing application reliability through extensive monitoring, proactive issue detection, and detailed root cause analysis for incidents.
• Ensure project and steady state financials are controlled and within budget.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
• University degree in Computer Engineering / Applied Science / Technology, or relevant work experience
• 5+ years of progressively increasing leadership experience in Information Technology management data, platform, and system(s) management
• Experience delivering complex, high-availability digital products at scale.
• Prior branch experience and knowledge of branch processes.
