Job Purpose

Scotia Wealth Management is undertaking a major initiative to modernize our Client/Account Onboarding and Servicing platforms. The successful applicant can expect to be involved with story definitions, use cases, business process change management, impact analysis, test strategy and post production support. The candidate will need to have extensive experience working in the financial industry delivering critical capabilities using agile methodology.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Translate requirements of functionality into user stories & use cases
  • Identifying opportunities for process and system improvement
  • Gather requirements and document these requirements for use within the project life cycle.
  • Lead integrated and user acceptance testing to ensure that the system meets the outlined requirements
  • Contribute to delivering projects on target, scope and quality
  • Transfer knowledge to peers and foster a culture of learning by becoming subject matter experts within your domain
  • Communicate effectively across diverse audiences, departments and levels acting as a SME in the assigned line of business
  • Actively participate in retrospective sessions to continuously improve processes and practices
  • Actively participate in product backlog prioritization

 

Functional Competencies

  • Advanced knowledge of the application of agile practices and principles, incremental delivery and experience with metrics to effectively measure: execution, performance, benefits and value
  • Extensive knowledge of Wealth Management processes and technologies
  • Solid understanding of Agile Development methodology 

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Must have experience with PEGA analysis and development
  • Advanced knowledge of the application of agile practices and principles, incremental delivery and experience with metrics to effectively measure: execution, performance, benefits and value
  • Knowledge of Scotia Wealth Management systems and processes.

 

Education/ Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering, business, information sciences or other related field.
  • Computer Science Degree or related work experience.
  • 5+ years of Financial Industry experience.
