The Global Fraud Authentications Technology team develops and manages innovative products designed to support the ever-changing threat landscape. We work in close partnership with our Fraud Business and key Technology Partners throughout Scotiabank to drive global technology delivery. We are key team members within Global Fraud Technology to ensure business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

  

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • Lead the analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements ensuring all the decisions and requirements changes are properly captured
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams across the bank as well as external partners to deliver the end-to-end solution
  • Collaborates with team and business representatives to define value and guide priority
  • Decomposes the solution into small increments of value (stories) that can be independently built and validated
  • Write user stories on JIRA and document artifacts through Confluence
  • Create project artifacts to communicate updates and document findings and analysis, such as business and technical requirements, gap analyses, scope matrices, use cases, sequence diagrams, future-state proposals, and UAT plans.
  • Support scrum master and project manager in planning, scoping, and impact analysis for initiatives
  • Work closely with the development and project teams during delivery to implement requirements, capture defects, prioritize work, and guide QA testing so test cases align with requirements and user stories.
  • Deliver training and ongoing change management support before and after implementation of services, products, or processes.
  • Promote a high-performance, inclusive work environment.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • University/college degree in an IT related field preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience as a Business Analyst, creating artifacts, data mapping, and in an agile SDLC environment
  • 3+ years using JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and MS Office suites
  • Ability to work independently and drive solutions with a small working team
  • Write user stories on JIRA and document artifacts through Confluence
  • Ability to distil complex business requirements into agile user stories and work in close collaboration with Product Owner, Agile Team and other stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Help influence decision making across stakeholders.
