The Team

 

The Global Derivatives and Risk Technology team is a crucial part of the Global Banking & Markets Engineering Line of Business. This is an opportunity to work in the exciting world of Capital markets We are looking for a Business Solutions Expert to provide highly specialized technical leadership.

 

The Role

 

You and your team will engage with critical business leaders to perform analysis, design, development, and support of cost effective, mission critical, online, real-time financial trading, risk management and decision support systems. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders in the Division, introducing new technology to meet business objectives and providing technical consultation and guidance in specialized areas.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • The Global Fixed Income Team is looking for an energetic and result-oriented Technical Business Analyst to work on technical business analysis for Fixed Income, with a particular focus on MortgageHub and SecureHub.  The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with our MBS business to understand and gather their requirements, design and help drive development from our vendor TAO for these applications.
  • The incumbent will also have the opportunity to work with other applications such as ION MMI and our in-house downstream reporting system FIE.
  • The ideal candidate must have solid hands-on expertise in building complex real-time applications and possess a good understanding of capital markets and products in order to understand and formulate requirements, and co-ordinate with several business lines and other technology groups.

  • Investigates holistic software problems and coordinates problem resolution with software vendors, hardware manufacturers, and/or appropriate in-house personnel.
  • Develops end to end design specifications and provides consultative guidance to software project teams on their execution.
  • Evaluates performance of software system and recommends changes to increase operational effectiveness.
  • Provides leadership to significant technical/business projects.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Relevant degree and 4-5 years progressive IT experience, with emphasis on managing infrastructure and network for complex microservices application for capital markets.
  • Knowledge of TAO MortgageHub and SecureHub or equivalent applications
  • Good knowledge or relevant work experience of MBS instruments, with particular focus on the Canadian markets.
  • Strong background in infrastructure management, network (data throttling management, architecture & design), datacentre architecture, system availability/DR design
