The Business Operations Analyst will contribute to the overall success of Scotia Digital in Toronto, Ontario, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. They will support the Manager, People Operations, and Director, Business Operations in executing operational initiatives 

 

 

Is this role right for you?

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
  • Assist hiring managers with Scotia Digital hiring approval process, and provide senior management with consolidated, annotated reporting of the program’s progress
  • Assist with administrative duties including obtaining approvals, consolidating, tracking and submission of invoices
  • Take full responsibility for all inquiries, concerns, and complaints directed to him / her by resolving those matters within their discretion to the internal client’s satisfaction or by referring to the appropriate source
  • Work with Talent Acquisition team and Hiring Managers to ensure timely updates of reports
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the team’s objectives, goals and key milestones
  • Project support – will work closely with Operations team members and partners, leading a variety of projects and providing support as needed
  • Actively identify and provide recommendations / ideas for process improvements
  • Organize lunch and learn for hiring managers
  • Maintain SharePoint pages and process documents
  • Complete other duties as assigned / prioritized by the team
  • Relationship building – build and maintain great working relationships with Digital users and other stakeholders across Scotiabank
  • Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures
  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales
  • Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment 

 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?

  • Experience building up office culture through relationship building and creative problem solving
  • Experience improving efficiency and productivity in an office
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, and exercise diplomacy and judgement, to effectively work with end users and other stakeholders from other areas of the bank.
  • Ability to quickly acquire a holistic view of the organization’s operations, proactively perform process analysis to identify pain points and bottlenecks and put forward improvement recommendations to streamline operations
  • Knowledge of operations management and Microsoft Office Suite applications is an asset
