Position Highlights
Corporate Banking, Business and Strategic Initiatives is part of the Credit Analytics Group (CAG) within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB). This role will support strategic initiatives and projects that impact Corporate Banking teams globally, with a specific focus on the system development lifecycle of Credit360, an in-house built credit adjudication platform. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with data, eager to expand their analytical toolkit with tools like Power BI, and skilled at translating complex requirements into clear, testable scenarios.
What You’ll Do:
- Support Global Banking and Markets (GBM), International Banking, and Global Wealth Management, as part of the Credit360 steady state team by leading the planning, business testing and release management of system enhancements, data repairs and new features;
- Support change management activities by ensuring Credit360 training materials and process guides are updated as required, and post-release validation is completed;
- Lead the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Credit360 production releases by defining test cases and validating outcomes, ensuring results match business expectations;
- Document defects, track resolutions, and validate fixes prior to each release;
- Ability to articulate requirements and specifications in JIRA tickets;
- Ability to accurately communicate requirements and specifications with IT teams;
- Become a subject matter expert on the credit process, facilities and related data to draft and implement test cases for new releases and provide ad-hoc support for the business;
- Support the business by maintaining existing and creating new PowerBI dashboards utilized by banking teams;
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge;
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions; Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk; and
- Champion a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
What You’ll Bring:
- Completed Undergraduate degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Proven practical experience with PowerBI and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report creation
- Minimum two years of Quality Assurance (QA) and/or business testing experience is preferred
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Experience managing projects that impact multiple systems and cross-functional teams
- Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal and written) are required
- Foundational knowledge of Corporate Banking, Global Capital Markets (GCM) Banking, Structured Credit and/or credit risk management an asset
- Ability to multitask and manage numerous priorities, sometimes under very tight deadlines
- Experience using the following systems is an asset:

- JIRA
- CreditLens
- Salesforce Tier1
Work Arrangement:
