Purpose

 

The Strategic Initiatives team, reporting to the SVP & COO of International Banking (IB), plays a critical role in supporting the execution of IB’s strategy across Latin America and the Caribbean. As part of the Portfolio Management unit, the team enables capital allocation, governance, and strategic oversight of investment initiatives that drive transformation and performance across the Bank’s international footprint.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic & Portfolio Analysis, the Senior Analyst will provide operational and technical support across the IB portfolio, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in execution. This role is essential to maintaining high standards in reporting, data integrity, and stakeholder communications, while enabling the team to deliver on strategic priorities 

 

What You’ll Do:

 

 Technical Analysis & Reporting

  • Support the Senior Manager in developing and maintaining dashboards using Power BI, advanced Excel, including use of macros and automation tools.
  • Update and validate trackers, and reporting templates to ensure data accuracy and usability.
  • Prepare minutes and summaries from executive and governance committees, ensuring timely and precise documentation.
  • Use CAPPM platform to set up projects, ensuring alignment with governance and operational standards.

Operational Execution & Portfolio Support

  • Prepare executive presentations and committee materials, ensuring alignment with strategic messaging and visual standards.
  • Maintain and update the investment pipeline, ensuring consistency across tools and trackers.
  • Own the archiving process for knowledge transfer and audit compliance, ensuring documentation is complete, organized, and accessible.

Communications & Coordination

  • Manage centralized team communications, including updates to stakeholders, coordination of deliverables, and maintenance of shared resources.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather inputs and validate data for monthly IB Executive Committees and Resource Allocation Committees (IB RAC & C-RAC).
  • Support the planning cycle and contribute to the development of materials for profit planning and budget allocations.

Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to the Bank’s operational, regulatory, and compliance frameworks, including AML/ATF and conduct risk guidelines.
  • Maintain awareness of risk principles and contribute to a culture of compliance and accountability.

 

 

 What You'll Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, project coordination, or operational support roles.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Power BI, Excel (including macros), and data visualization tools.
  • Experience with CA PPM or similar project management platforms is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred due to regional stakeholder engagement.
