Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is the payments and transaction engine of Scotiabank.

Scotiaconnect host-to-host plays a key role delivering value to our corporate and commercial clients who have invested on an ERP or Treasury Workstation.  Establishing a secure direct connection between the Client’s system and Scotiabank we help our clients materialize on the benefits of their investments by achieving efficiency and speed, cost reduction, improved cash management, enhanced reporting and analytics among other benefits.

Purpose
The Product Owner – SCOH2H Implementation serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the ScotiaConnect Host-to-Host (SCOH2H) channel, driving the design, prioritization, development, and rollout of new capabilities and market expansions across partner banks (e.g., Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama).
This role blends strong business acumen, technical expertise, and an entrepreneurial mindset to deliver scalable, client-centric solutions that enhance multinational cash management services. The incumbent represents the voice of the customer while ensuring roadmap alignment, cross-bank coordination, and seamless execution across technology and business teams.

What you'll be doing
 Product Ownership & Channel Expertise
•    Act as the SCOH2H channel SME across both partner banks, maintaining deep knowledge of current capabilities, integrations, and emerging enhancements.
•    Define and articulate the product vision, value proposition, and strategic roadmap aligned to GTB objectives.
•    Lead market expansions (e.g., Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama), ensuring alignment with multinational and local market practices.
•    Ensure product consistency and harmonization across partner banks while respecting regional requirements.
•    Act as product specialist in client engagements, supporting technical discussions and solution positioning.

Backlog Management & Agile Leadership
•    Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring features, epics, and user stories are clearly defined with detailed acceptance criteria.
•    Lead backlog prioritization using data-driven analysis, stakeholder input, business value assessment, and regulatory considerations.
•    Collaborate closely with agile teams during sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure delivery of high-quality increments.
•    Act as primary reviewer and approver of completed development work against established acceptance criteria.
•    Continuously reprioritize initiatives to maximize business impact and customer value.

Cross-Bank & Stakeholder Coordination
•    Act as primary liaison with Davivienda counterparts to ensure:
o    Coordinated product decisions
o    Issue resolution
o    Roadmap alignment
o    Cross-bank execution consistency
•    Build strong relationships across Technology, Operations, Sales, Risk, Compliance, and regional stakeholders.
•    Ensure alignment between channel strategy and broader GTB product strategy.
•    Provide executive-level updates on roadmap progress, risks, and dependencies.

 Market Expansion & Capability Development
•    Lead the design and rollout of new SCOH2H capabilities across new markets.
•    Assess local payment types, regulatory requirements, and integration frameworks to support country enablement.
•    Collaborate with regional teams to ensure successful onboarding, training, and production readiness.

Sales, RFP & Client Support
•    Provide SME support for:
o    RFP responses
o    Sales proposals
o    Client solutioning discussions
o    Partner negotiations
•    Translate technical capabilities into compelling business value propositions.

 Incident & Production Support:
•    Act as product SME during incidents impacting the SCOH2H implementation.
•    Support timely triage, stakeholder communication, and root cause analysis.
•    Partner with Technology and Operations teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.
•    Identify recurring themes and translate production learnings into backlog improvements.

Performance, Risk & Governance
•    Define KPIs and success metrics for channel performance and client adoption.
•    Use analytics and client feedback to drive continuous improvement.
•    Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and data security standards.
•    Proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies related to product capabilities and cross-border implementation.

What you'll bring:
   Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
•    5–8+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Channel Management, or Cash Management within financial services.
•    Strong knowledge of Host-to-Host (H2H), SWIFT, ERP/TMS integrations, and corporate payment solutions.
•    Experience working across multiple countries and coordinating multinational stakeholders.
•    Demonstrated experience in agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
•    Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
•    Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
•    Excellent communication skills with ability to translate between technical and business audiences.
•    Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
