Purpose
Lead and manage the full lifecycle of strategic projects—from planning and governance to execution and transition—ensuring alignment with business priorities, technology strategy, and stakeholder engagement across functions and regions.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, including planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, release, and post-release support.
  • Develop and maintain key project documentation such as cost estimates, timelines, scope, governance structures, and communication/testing plans.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define and update the technology delivery roadmap, adapting to shifting priorities and capacity.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and smooth execution across jurisdictions.
  • Facilitate effective communication and decision-making through meetings, scrums, and governance forums, escalating issues as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements and maintain thorough documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Operate independently with sound judgment, driving project momentum and resolving external blockers to support team focus and delivery.
  • Manages risks and issues appropriately and provides strategic project direction and co-ordination between multiple delivery teams and key stakeholders. Adapts priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Manages ambiguity, ensures team effectiveness and results.
  • Is accountable for project budget and tracking, has experience of the full budget lifecycle from planning to monitoring to project closure.
  • Works independently, guided by policies, operating plans and priorities. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.

 

What You'll Bring:

  • Project management or business analysis experience.
  • Financial management or business analysis experience.
  • Experience of regulation, compliance or capital markets experience preferred.
  • Acquired experience in Capital Markets with knowledge of financial instruments.
  • Involvement in managing projects within a large bank or consulting firm.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders, coordinating project teams, running meetings, preparing and providing presentations.
  • Knowledge of building and implementation of finance data technology projects.
  • Fundamental understanding of current IT practices, system development techniques, including requirements specification and testing methodologies.
