Purpose
As an Associate Director, Treasury Management Officer, you will play a critical role in delivering Scotiabank’s Global Transaction Banking (GTB) solutions to some of our largest corporate clients. Partnering closely with Corporate & Investment Bankers (CIBs), you’ll manage a specialized portfolio of clients with annual revenues exceeding $2 billion, acting as a trusted advisor and single point of contact across all markets.
You will leverage your expertise in global liquidity management, payables and receivables optimization, emerging payment technologies, foreign exchange, working capital solutions, and digital transformation to strengthen relationships, identify new opportunities, and deliver Scotiabank’s global value proposition.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive Revenue Growth: Prospect and source new transaction banking opportunities while retaining and expanding existing client relationships.
- Manage Strategic Relationships: Serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs, Treasurers, Network Managers, and senior executives, delivering integrated transaction banking solutions through a consultative approach.
- Provide Market Thought Leadership: Represent Scotiabank at client roundtables, industry conferences, webinars, and events, sharing insights on transaction banking trends and innovations.
- Ensure Seamless Client Experience: Coordinate with solution specialists to deliver end-to-end client solutions and lead business process reviews aligned with key sales opportunities.
- Influence Product Development: Advocate for client needs in shaping and evolving transaction banking products and solutions.
- Collaborate Across the Bank: Work closely with Group Treasury, Global Risk Management, Capital Markets, Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Operations, and Fulfillment teams.
- Develop Talent: Coach and mentor junior team members to build expertise and strengthen the team’s capabilities.
What You'll Bring:
- 3–5 years of experience in transaction banking, including global cash management, liquidity management, trade & working capital solutions, and/or corporate or global banking.
- Strong knowledge of transaction banking products, credit and risk processes, and pricing philosophy.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, supported by excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated negotiation, active listening, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong focus on managing operational and enterprise risk.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals as a top individual contributor.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation is an asset.
- International banking experience is highly desirable.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a passion for process improvement.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands, lead small teams, and delegate effectively.
- Spanish or French proficiency is an advantage.
