Purpose

Contribute to the overall success of Global Banking and Markets globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Starting with more basic clients, manage a very active portfolio of GCM clients, including preparing credit presentations, annual reviews, and new client requests for a portfolio of financial institutions, including money center banks, asset managers, broker dealers, governments, central banks/supranationals, clearers/depositories and other FIs.
  • Manage numerous interim requests in a timely manner to support business units, including increases, reallocations and business justifications.
  • Working with Directors and Associate Directors on complex credit and transactions/projects and provide support when necessary
  • Liaise with trading desks, as well as Documentation, Legal, Onboarding, Credit Risk, and Market Risk teams in order to fulfill client requests. Team members within the group are the primary service contacts for the onboarding, credit execution and maintenance of client relationships.
  • Be one of the team's primary service contacts for the onboarding, credit execution and maintenance of these client relationships
  • Support GCM in meeting its target profitability metrics, including NIAT and RoRWA.
  • Oversight of the negotiation and review of documentation for related transactions and onboarding of accounts for BNS, SCI, SBE and SCUSA
  • Responsible for monitoring industry developments and supporting new business products / initiatives as required
  • Be exposed to various aspects of the derivative, foreign exchange, precious metals, fixed income and equity business of GCM, and exposure to new business growth areas


What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years or relevant work experience, MBA and/or a CFA would be an asset
  • Solid understanding of financial institutions and traded products, market risk concepts, and trading product and loan documentation (ISDA/CSA, GMRA, loan agreements, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong computer literacy

Role Dimensions:

  • Credit execution for a diversified portfolio of 30 – 50 global financial institutions.
  • Supporting capital markets business units (prime services, collateral funding & management, fixed income, currencies & commodities, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Basel Accords, and regulatory landscape across North America, the UK, Europe and Asia.
  • Keeping up with recent developments in the industry and for individual counterparties
  • Negotiating credit-related terms in traded products documentation (ISDA.CSA, GMRA, etc.).


Work Arrangement:
This position is currently an onsite role, with the expectation that you will work at least 4 days a week in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
