The Role

As Assistant Manager, Corporate Lending Services (Canadian Agency & Bilateral), you will support the execution of loan administration activities for syndicated and bilateral credit facilities. You will oversee day-to-day operational delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to credit agreements and internal controls, while supporting team coordination and workflow management.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Support the administration of syndicated and bilateral credit facilities, including loan processing, disbursements, settlements, and limit verification
  • Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with loan documentation, authorized credit terms, and internal policies
  • Validate calculations, funding movements, and loan balances to ensure accuracy across transactions
  • Identify and escalate exceptions, discrepancies, and operational risks to management
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counterparties (e.g., agent banks, lenders) to resolve operational issues
  • Monitor daily workflows, volumes, and allocations to ensure timely processing and adherence to service standards
  • Support oversight of team output, including tracking productivity and reporting work volumes
  • Assist with resolution of exception items, escalations, and operational inquiries
  • Contribute to process improvements, control enhancements, and operational initiatives
  • Ensure data integrity and accurate processing within loan systems (e.g., Loan IQ)

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • University degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline
  • Experience in corporate lending operations or loan administration, including syndicated and/or bilateral credit facilities
  • Knowledge of loan lifecycle processes, including disbursements, settlements, limit validation, and servicing
  • Experience interpreting loan documentation, credit agreements, and authorized credit terms
  • Familiarity with loan systems such as Loan IQ
  • Understanding of operational controls, risk management, and compliance requirements within lending operations
  • Experience working with high-volume transaction processing and operational workflows
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and tracking
