The Role

Contribute to the overall success of the Asset Servicing Utility by executing individual goals, plans, and initiatives that support the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Drive and enhance a customer-focused culture across the team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank systems and knowledge.
  • Maintain operational efficiency of Corporate Actions by organizing, prioritizing, and supervising workflows, authorizing event components, and monitoring outstanding payments from depositories, issuers, and financial institutions.
  • Assist in the implementation of new processes and systems, identify challenges, and pursue opportunities to improve processing efficiency.
  • Solve complex problems by identifying root causes and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service by completing transactions accurately and on time across all business lines.
  • Maintain effective procedural and management controls, ensure escalation procedures are followed for potential losses, and regularly review existing procedures to confirm adequate controls are in place.
  • Support the department manager by reviewing and clearing control accounts daily to prevent aging items.
  • Train and cross-train team members as needed, support each other’s functions during high volumes or projects, and perform ad hoc duties as required.
  • Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in daily activities and decision-making.
  • Create an environment that promotes effective and efficient operations while ensuring adherence to business controls related to operational risk, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risk, in alignment with the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • 3–5 years of experience in the Capital Markets industry, ideally within Asset Servicing.
  • Strong knowledge of the Corporate Actions event lifecycle and associated risks, including considerations for borrow/loan transactions and failing trades.
  • Experience with Broadridge (ADP, REOR, DIVSY) and TCS (BaNCs) platforms is considered an asset.

Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in VBA, SQL, Power BI, Python, and R.
