Purpose:
Contributes to the overall success of the GWO Corporate Loan Documentation Group by ensuring all Corporate Loan Documentation is documented accurately/efficiently and specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Participate in group projects and assist Sr Manager with daily/weekly/monthly reporting
- Subject Matter Expert covering the following areas as applicable – Scotia Visa Business Cards and Document Tracking System (DMT)
- Attend annual BCP testing on behalf of the Group
- Reviews and records incoming Corporate Loan Documentation to complete new and/or updated Loan Documentation Inventory (LDI) on behalf of Corporate Banking Canada, Corporate Banking US, ICCB’s Toronto Offshore Banking Unit, Special Accounts Management, Global Securitization, Collateral Loan Obligation and Mortgage Capital Markets. Submit LDIs to banking if Sr Manager is absent.
- Reviews, documents and monitors for renewal of Canadian PPSA (Personal Property Security Act) UCC (Uniform Commercia Code) NOI (Notice of Intention) registration liens and Certificates of Insurance to maintain the Bank’s priority interest in the security.
- Maintains manageable backlog within specified parameters. Overtime will be required to maintain adequate backlog levels.
- Review, document and store all security related documentation (Share Certificates/Promissory Notes etc.) to ensure proper custody and care are maintained. Approve submissions or releases when Sr Manager is absent.
- If applicable, review/processing of documentation dealing with the U.S. Borrower in Custody Program.
- Provide back-up to Assistant Managers, Analysts and Sr Manager as required.
- If applicable, review and process monthly BDAR and DCER reports from DMT
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
