The Application Specialist is responsible for providing technical leadership in analysis, design, development, implementation and support of solutions on Global Wealth Management Systems, including trading system, fee management and reporting system.     


Key Accountabilities:


As a member of ADM – Portfolio Management team.


  • Hold overall accountability for complex business requirement review and technical delivery of project implementation.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert/mentor and provide technical expertise, guidance, advice and knowledge transfer to all development staff on all aspects of application development.
  • Work across technology teams, manage and participate in implementation of solutions by analyzing user requirements, providing technical specifications and designs, and developing and maintaining programs in compliance with bank standards.
  • Proactively design, cost, business case and strategize solutions to propose to the department and business line management.
  • Provide recommendations on departmental standards surrounding systems architecture, application development, systems integration, data modelling and testing.
  • Provide support to complex technical problems by analyzing problems, implementing solutions and developing new procedures to ensure smooth business activities.
  • Proactively partners with business line representatives to drive improved technology solutions that support business strategy.
  • Provides expert advice and counsel to Corporate, Business Partner and/or IT areas, and IT project teams on highly complex issues.
  • Research and recommend enhancements to the strategic technology evolution of the organization based on new and emerging technologies.



  • Solid hands on development and support experience to lead solution development to complex technical problems across technology teams.
  • Solid hands on experience in Java, .Net, Unix and SQL development and troubleshooting.
  • Solid analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills in order to develop and support systems to meet user requirements.
  • Be creative and flexible in identifying technical solutions to resolve business problems in a rapidly changing, demanding and complex business environment.
  • Experience in wealth applications/trading systems is an asset.
  • Technical certification or business certification is an asset.
  • Agile and DevOps experience is an asset.
