The Role

As a Static Data Analyst, you will be responsible for the accurate setup, maintenance, and control of financial and non-financial static data across Fixed Income, Equities, Securities Lending, and credit products. You will ensure data integrity across multiple systems supporting trading activities in North America, the UK, and Asia, minimizing operational and market risk through high-quality data management.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Maintain and update static data across multiple systems to support trading and operational activities
  • Validate, investigate, and resolve exceptions identified through daily control and reconciliation reports
  • Capture and maintain data from authorized documentation, including credit approvals and onboarding documentation
  • Set up and maintain Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI) within source systems
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness across systems to support downstream trading and operational processes
  • Monitor and improve data quality by identifying trends, errors, and control gaps
  • Support system updates, product enhancements, and data-related changes across platforms
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and implementation of system enhancements
  • Contribute to data-related projects and initiatives, including onboarding and system migrations
  • Support business continuity planning (BCP/DR) activities and testing as required
  • Provide coverage for extended or global operations (e.g., early shifts supporting London or Asia when needed)

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Experience in static data management, client onboarding, or data operations within capital markets or financial services
  • Strong knowledge of financial products including Fixed Income, Equities, derivatives, and securities lending
  • Understanding of Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI) and trade settlement processes
  • Experience working with financial systems such as Murex, BESS, GDMS, WSS, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of onboarding documentation requirements and counterparty data setup
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements impacting onboarding and data management (e.g., FATCA, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, Volcker)
  • Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as IIROC, OSFI, FINRA, and SEC
  • Experience investigating and resolving data exceptions, control breaks, and reconciliation issues
  • Experience supporting system testing, data migrations, or process improvements
  • Technical proficiency in data management tools and systems within financial services environments
