The Role
The Analyst contributes to the overall success of the GWO Confirmations – OTC Confirmations team by supporting the timely and accurate confirmation of OTC derivative trades. The role ensures all activities are executed in compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and established operational controls.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Monitor and manage the end-to-end confirmation process for OTC derivative trades across multiple asset classes.
- Track and investigate unmatched or unconfirmed trades, working with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to resolve discrepancies.
- Perform daily control checks and exception management to ensure completeness and accuracy of trade confirmations.
- Utilize confirmation platforms and internal systems (e.g., DTCC, MarkitWire, Xceptor, or equivalent) to process and validate trade data.
- Conduct reconciliations and identify breaks, ensuring timely resolution in line with operational standards.
- Review reports and system outputs to identify issues, escalate exceptions, and support adherence to policies and procedures.
- Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the confirmations function.
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with regulatory, compliance, and operational risk frameworks.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Knowledge of OTC derivatives products (e.g., FX, rates, credit, equities, commodities) and trade lifecycle processes, particularly confirmations.
- Hands-on experience with trade confirmation processing, including monitoring unmatched trades and resolving discrepancies.
- Familiarity with industry platforms such as DTCC, MarkitWire, Xceptor, or similar confirmation and matching utilities.
- Understanding of capital markets operations and front-to-back trade flows.
- Experience with reconciliations, break resolution, and exception management processes.
- Knowledge of operational controls, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks relevant to trade processing environments.
- Experience working with internal systems supporting confirmations and trade processing.
