The Role
As an Audit Confirmation Analyst, you will play a key role in managing audit confirmation requests from external auditors, ensuring all responses are accurate, complete, and delivered within tight timelines. You’ll partner closely with internal teams to gather and validate financial information, while identifying potential risks and escalating issues as needed.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Manage and process audit confirmation requests received via email and platforms such as Confirmation.com
- Review requests to ensure completeness, proper authorization, and adherence to internal controls
- Coordinate with internal business lines to gather required financial information and ensure timely responses
- Validate all data for accuracy, following up on discrepancies and escalating risks where necessary
- Track and maintain audit requests using internal databases and reporting tools
- Monitor volumes, aging, and allocations to manage high-priority deadlines effectively
- Respond to auditors, clients, and internal stakeholders professionally and in a timely manner
- Support end-to-end coordination of internal and external audit activities within GWO teams
- Produce and maintain reporting (e.g., daily stats, aging reports, metrics) for management visibility
- Participate in team huddles and provide updates on volumes, issues, and priorities
- Provide training and backup support to new or junior team members
- Ensure adherence to operational controls, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements (including AML/ATF and conduct risk)
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Prior experience in operations, audit support, or financial services environments
- Experience processing audit confirmations, reconciliations, or financial data requests
- Ability to interpret audit requests and validate financial information for completeness and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Experience tracking high-volume workflows using databases or reporting tools
- Knowledge of audit processes, financial controls, and data validation practices
- Understanding of data privacy, information security, and handling of confidential financial information
- Experience working within regulated environments and adhering to compliance requirements (e.g., AML/ATF, conduct risk)
- Familiarity with reporting and metrics tracking (e.g., daily volumes, aging, allocations)
