Purpose:


This position is responsible for processing and maintenance of counterparty static data in multiple systems for the Global Banking and Markets (GBM) business lines supported by Global Wholesale Operations in Toronto.

The role has the primary responsibility for the on-going support, and oversight of counterparty static data and related day to day activities. Included, but not limited to, client onboarding and the day-to-day maintenance of client data across cash and repo source systems. In addition, provides support to third- party and ancillary platforms as needed.

DAY TO DAY DATA MANAGEMENT:

 

Manages the day-to-day data requirements of the various GBM business lines on the processing and/or maintenance of counterparty static data for all core processing systems across all regions.

Assist in managing the ongoing maintenance of data to ensure changes are processed in a timely manner, including updates to client profiles or preferences, core documentation, documentation renewals, and the addition of jurisdictions to client accounts or relationships. 


CHANGE MANAGEMENT:

 

Support various testing for automation and technology solutions that improve productivity, cost, quality, capacity and scale, standardization and cycle time of data flows and processes.  


COST MANAGEMENT:

 

Work and support business within team budget as per manager’s guidance or as needed.

Optimizes performance, engagement, team-work and motivation through; effective organizational design, defining clear roles and responsibilities, setting challenging but realistic goals, performance expectations and timely feedback.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

• Strong source systems background (GLOSS, Global one, ANVIL 9, ADP, Arrow, Fidessa, IMPACT etc) as well as onboarding and experience in financial services information technology. 
• Strong operating knowledge of current and upcoming change in rules and regulations such as a CIRO, FATCA, EMIR as applicable to GBM businesses and in accordance with the relevant governing regulator bodies, specifically IIROC; OSFI; FINRA, SEC, etc. 
• Proven ability to build strong, cohesive partnerships with the business, operations, technology and other key stakeholders and work effectively in a matrix organization.
• Established track record in recruiting, building, coaching and motivating a skilled, high performing team of operations professionals operating across multiple regions and multi-time zones. 
• Analytic problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish and communicate the strategic vision
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple initiatives, projects and work streams simultaneously
• Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma combined with relevant business experience would be given consideration.

 

Work Arrangement:


• Operational/Regulatory risks can be significant and can quickly manifest into substantial financial loss for both the business and the client impacted resulting in relationship creating a risk laden / stressful work environment. 

• The incumbent will be required to work in a multi-time zone, fast-paced, highly stressful matrix environment which may require immediate access and response outside standard hours in order to satisfy both internal and external client expectations.
