GCM Banking is looking for an energetic and dedicated Analyst to support the group’s Investment Funds team.  The Analyst is responsible for contributing to the maintenance and growth of a large portfolio of investment fund accounts by: managing and updating a large, complex database of client information; assisting Associates / Associate Directors with annual reviews, client requests and other daily Banking-related tasks; liaise closely with Global Risk Management to address data issues as well as coordinate improvements to and expansion of the existing database infrastructure.



  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) is essential. The incumbent also requires strong organizational, managerial, interpersonal and communication abilities to direct varied activities within tight deadlines;
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to details on administrative tasks;
  • Ability to manage many complex and competing priorities


Educational Requirements:

  • University degree
  • Business/Accounting/Finance/mathematics degree preferred but not required
  • Strong technical knowledge, specifically experience working with large, complex databases would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal and/or Morningstar database
  • Working understanding of the Asset Management and Investment Funds space would be an asset


Key Accountabilities:

  • The Analyst will be part of the GCM Banking Investment Funds team which manages over 75 client relationships representing over 8,500 individual fund entities;
  • The Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the agency / investment manager fund database which tracks counterparties of various GCM desks;
  • Management of database will include the updating of client information, extracting reports, on-boarding of new clients, managing limits, and liaising with Global Risk Management for various reporting and updating tasks;
  • Manage the monthly NAV update process for funds within the database. This will include the sourcing of NAV information by the Analyst as well as liaising with Bankers on the team to ensure their portfolios are sufficiently up to date.
  • Become the group’s primary liaison regarding the functionality of the Fund database as well as the on-boarding and maintenance of the growing universe of fund counterparties
  • Work extensively with Bloomberg and other information systems to extract data and perform ad hoc reporting and analytics on the team’s portfolio
  • The job will expose the incumbent to various aspects of the derivative, foreign exchange, precious metals, fixed income and equity businesses of GBM and exposure to new business growth areas.
