Purpose
The Client Insights & Analytics team supports data driven decision making within the Global Banking and Markets division. The mandate of the team is to:
- Increase Scotiabank’s relevance with corporate and institutional clients
- Develop client strategies in partnership with GBM business lines and drive execution through data analytics
- Support the monitoring of financial performance against plans, initiatives, and objectives
- Leverage internal and external client data to facilitate opportunity identification
- Define and deliver CRM (Client Relationship Management) system enhancements that drive business value
- Develop and implement strategies and processes to enhance data quality and integrity
Is this role right for you:
- Work closely with members of the Client Insights & Analytics team to support the delivery of client intelligence and decision support tools across four pillars: (1) Management Insights and Client Strategy; (2) Client Relationship Management; (3) Reporting; and (4) Client Data
- Create effective presentations and assist in communication to our business partners, executives, and other internal stakeholders
- Drive adoption, change management, and enhancement of our CRM system
- Create and update CRM training material
- Assist in the creation and enhancement of reports using Power BI and Tableau
- Develop and implement strategies to improve data quality and integrity
- Work with internal business and functional groups to remediate client data
- Work closely with other CIA members on specific data projects. Attend project meetings, facilitate organization and follow-up as required
- Support ad hoc analysis requests as required
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- New graduate - Bachelors/Advanced Degree in business, finance, engineering, and/or computer science
- Interest in and knowledge of the capital markets and wholesale banking business
- Experience working on a major project and/or initiative team
- Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and matrix-based environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Advanced experience with Excel
- Experience or knowledge of Power BI or Tableau are an asset
- A “self-starter” that demonstrates curiosity, an ability to learn and adapt quickly with a high attention to detail
- A high level of energy, commitment, and a strong sense of teamwork are needed to succeed in the role
