Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the Global AV Support team for The Commons Space located in downtown Toronto ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Provide technical Audio Visual support to Scotiabank employees and external presenters and clients
- Operate and troubleshoot AV systems, keeping a detailed report on equipment failures.
- Setup, and dismantle non permanent equipment on an ad hoc basis. Including programming and signal routing.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs of Audio Visual Technology including Firmware updates, system backups, managing media, and cleaning.
- Coordinate with client to deliver AV requirements and field any last minute revisions to event details.
- Manage event media and assets for events such as presentations, media and recordings. Make adjustments and/or recommendations as necessary.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information
- Familiarity with Cisco, Crestron, other AV Technologies
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Time management skills are a must
Working Conditions
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel domestically may occur depending on type of project / location of office.
