Purpose:
Contributes to the overall success of the Global AV Support team for The Commons Space located in downtown Toronto ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Provide technical Audio Visual support to Scotiabank employees and external presenters and clients
• Operate and troubleshoot AV systems, keeping a detailed report on equipment failures.
• Setup, and dismantle non permanent equipment on an ad hoc basis. Including programming and signal routing.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs of Audio Visual Technology including Firmware updates, system backups, managing media, and cleaning.
• Coordinate with client to deliver AV requirements and field any last minute revisions to event details.
• Manage event media and assets for events such as presentations, media and recordings. Make adjustments and/or recommendations as necessary.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
• You have at least 1+ years of hands-on working experience in a role within an AV production environment, such as film and/or music and/or corporate meetings/events and/or sports and/or webcasts and/or live streaming.
• You have at least 1+ years of hands-on working experience or possess a strong core fundamental understanding on the use of AV/Meeting Technology, which includes:
Digital Video Routing & Management Solutions;
Crestron AV Control Solutions & Systems;
Videoconferencing Technology (Cisco, Polycom (now known as Poly), MS Teams, Webex);
Audio Conferencing;
Digital Audio Systems (including consoles, Digital Signal Processing (DSP’s), Network Audio, etc.);
Multiple Computing Platforms;
Simple Stage Lighting Systems;
Video Switching & Recording Systems (NewTek’s TriCaster®, Epiphan’s Pearl, Blackmagic)
• You possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills to resolve often complex work scenarios quickly.
• You can work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• You have general IT knowledge with Microsoft Office software, including but not limited to MS Excel/Powerpoint/Outlook + Google Chrome & Adobe.
Otherwise, you can demonstrate a propensity to learn and pick-up technical concepts.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Crestron, other AV Technologies
• Excellent communication skills
Work Arrangement:
Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel domestically may occur depending on type of project /location of office.
