Job Purpose:

Perform or provide assistance by completing duties accurately and in conformity to Bank regulations and procedures for the effective administration of the Retail Service Centre. To do so, the incumbent will control, check, balance and maintain specific bank systems. Provide professional and efficient customer service if/when responding to Branches, third parties, and third party partners, for which the Unit services during the completion of these assignments.

 

Key Accountabilities:

1. Provide processing support by acquiring a good knowledge of product accounting functions and a thorough knowledge of systems used, as well as accurately processing, posting, and maintaining daily transactions within assigned Position Authorities. 

2. Provide customers and business line partners with excellent service levels by ensuring productivity goals are attained, processing customer requests in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining customer confidentiality, and taking full responsibility for assigned inquiries/concerns/complaints by resolving those matters within assigned timeframes and with adherence to Bank policy and procedure.

3. Maintain strict adherence to security procedures by adhering to all Bank/department policies, procedures, regulations, and audit requirements within assigned authority and responsibility, and by reporting any unusual occurrences or fraudulent activity to management.

4. Participate actively in team activities/initiatives and take responsibility for self learning and development with  learning and embracing new procedures, technologies, and processes, demonstrating leadership with peers and customers, setting high standards for customer service and professionalism, and participating in and supporting change initiatives.

5. Performing related other and sundry duties as assigned, including providing coverage on a variety of jobs within various units, as determined based on the day-to-day operational requirements.

 

Functional Competencies:

  • Good communication skills, including both written and verbal.
  • High degree of flexibility required to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and functions.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experince with AS400 would be an asset.
  • Proven ability to adapt to high degree of change

 

Experience / Education:

Required:

• High School diploma

• Basic Computer Skills, including common software tools (Microsoft Office products)

Beneficial:

• Minumum of 2 years of relevant working experience

• Experience providing product and process support over the phone and/or through e-mail.

 

Working Hours:

Operating hours are from 7:00am – 8:00pm, Monday – Friday, and 8:30am – 5:00pm, Saturdays. 

Flexibility to work within these hours of operation is required.
