Schedule:  Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm / 4 hours upon request on Saturday.

 

Purpose

 


Contributes to the overall success of the Retail Inquires and Investigations Operations in GBS DR, Global Operations team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

 

 

Accountabilities 

 

 

•    Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

•    Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment:
o    Contributing to the efficiency of the department / team and the overall profitability of the Bank by ensuring all operational requirements are met 
o    Providing service to our partners that is consistent with the Bank’s guidelines by taking full accountability for inquiries/concerns/complaints and resolving matters within established service level standards or referring to management in a timely manner when necessary.

•    Performs an increasingly wide range of assignments
o    Maintains sound knowledge of assigned functions, tasks, policies, procedures, and systems
o    Works with limited oversight within established procedures and practices
o    Performs verification activities of work completed by RDO Officer 
o    Provides support on completion of priority tasks or projects as assigned by management
o    Maintain a level of flexibility in a changing environment 

•    Responsible for answering inquiries and resolving escalations from partners via email & telephone 

•    Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

•    Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information 


•    High School diploma and a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience 
•    Basic Computer Skills, including common software tools (Microsoft Office products)
•    Advanced English language skills
•    Experience posting transactions and system related to job.
•    Problem solving and organizational skills
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
•    Working knowledge of department functions and processes, an asset.
•    Education in business and/or finance, an asset.
