The team:

The Global Technology Services (GTS) Tools and Monitoring group’s mandate is to provide insight to critical applications through the integration of real-time monitoring tools for our key Business Platforms with the goal of improving mean time to detect, automating response coordination, preventing impacts, and reducing mean time to resolve.  Team plays an integral role in building automation solutions and providing steady state support of critical environments.


The role:

This is a temporary full time work assignment to cover a leave of absence of approximately 1 year.


Reporting to the Manager, you will contribute to the overall success of the Global Event Management System within GTS. This includes:

  1. ensuring visibility to critical applications with the successful integration of the Banks monitoring tools;
  2. ensuring application onboarding, response coordination and deployments are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives; and
  3. ensuring all activities conducted are within compliance of governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

  • You are a customer-service focused individual who works to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • You will support ServiceNow Event Management Module and integrate 3rd party monitoring tools (via custom integrations, web services, API’s).
  • You get to work across different Business lines to understand customer needs and problems, build creative and thoughtful solutions, and drive the success of Event Intelligence and Incident Response as a whole.
  • You will build and deliver applications on the ServiceNow platform that apply innovative technical solutions to eliminate manual processes and simplify workflows for complex procedures.
  • You will design and develop new reports, dashboards and performance analytics widgets and support business and customers in its usage.
  • You get to perform unit testing, code reviews, development best practices and implement ServiceNow related best practices.
  • You enjoy working in a dynamic, collaborative team and contribute towards a high-performance environment as well as an inclusive work environment.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • You possess strong communication (verbal/written) skills in English. The same in Spanish is an asset.
  • You have at least 2+ years of hands-on technical working experience in developing scripts using JavaScript.  It will be an asset to also have hands-on technical working experience in scripting with XML and/or (X)HTML and/or Angular JS and/or JSON.
  • You have at least 2+ years of hands-on technical working experience with custom Integrations with web services and/or API’s.
  • You have at least 2+ years of hands-on technical working experience with ServiceNow development. Preference given to those who have experience working with the Event Management Module (events, transform maps, alerts rules), or understand the concept of an Event Intelligence product.
  • You can demonstrate the ability to interact with the customer to design / update / improve dashboards and custom reporting.
  • You have good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors.
  • You have completed a post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology or in a related field.
  • Completion of a ServiceNow Administrator Certification is an asset.
