Job Purpose

The Revolving Credit and Pricing Technology team is responsible for supporting multiple applications across a variety of business clients within Credit Cards. The Senior Project Leader Development will work closely with various application teams and business lines to deliver projects in a fast pace and energetic environment to meet the business needs of our clients.  The Senior Project Leader ensures delivery of technically complex reporting solutions targeted at various business units.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Leads the execution of day-to-day project and task oriented work efforts
  • Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments
  • Directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately
  • Operationalizes technical and managerial processes and supervises the development and maintenance of business support systems
  • Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed
  • Assists in areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard development methodologies
  • Negotiates IT project requirements (i.e. deadlines, budgets, resources, etc.)
  • Builds and maintains solid, professional working relationships with peers within the project management and business lines
  • Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner
  • In-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing software solutions

 

Education/Experience

  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or technical equivalent
  • 5 - 7 years technical work experience (SQL, JCL, SAS, Oracle, Showcase, Avaya CMS)
  • Technical designations/formal training an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives
